Every two years the  partnership organises a visit to the Worms Backfisch Festival which is held over the August Bank Holiday period and this year is being held from the 25th August until 2nd September.

This is a carnival with floats, parades and fun fairs and is one of the best events in the Rhine area.

This year the partnership is planning to visit the festival on August 24th to August 27th/28th, so if you are interested in going please contact Valerie Goodyear Burrow at 01582 762427. Accommodation can be arranged with local families in the Worms area.

Supporting Organisations

St Albans Chamber Choir  www.stalbanschamberchoir.org.uk
Musical links have been an important part of St Alban’s association with Worms and the Chamber Choir has been at the forefront of this, for more information about our long association visit the History page.

South Herts CAMRA http://www.hertsale.org.uk/
A more recent association is with the local branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, whose Head Office is based in the city. The annual Beer Festival held at the end of September is a major event in the St Albans social calendar and the partnership tries to arrange a supply of the Worms Hagenbräu for the festival.
